He attended Ninety One Grade School and Canby High School until he enlisted in the Army National Guard. Mr. Reser enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing with his dog. Survivors include his mother, Millie Reser, of Canby; daughter, Angela, of Klamath Falls; brother, Rich Reser, of Scappoose; sister, Jennifer; step-mother, Roberta Reser; an aunt and uncle. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cara; father, Gil; sisters, Rhonda and Pam; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at Bethany Evangelical Free Church, 450 S. Ivy St., in Canby.

    The papers record the death of Mrs. Nancy B. Burleson, one of the pioneer women of Texas. She died at Brady, Texas, June 8. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, October 5, 1810, came to Texas in 1830 and lived for a while at Velasco, near the mouth of the Brazos River. From thence she moved to Bastrop, where she lived for more than fifty years. She was the mother of ten children and raised five orphans, although a widow. She was the wife of John Burleson, brother of General Ed Burleson of Texas fame.
