    Mrs. Huntley Dead - Prominent Gold Beach Woman Dies in Portland - Was Taken North for Operation - Harry Huntley, of North Bend Son of Deceased (Special to the Times)
    God Beach, Ore., Aug. 26 - Mrs. J. Huntley, wife of the well-known pioneer lawyer of Curry County, died yesterday in a Portland hospital where she went for an operation. She was 64 years old and was born in Illinois. She was married to George Huntley near Freeport, Illinois, and had lived in Gold Beach 45 years. Five children who survive her are Harry Huntley, of North Bend; Floyd, who was with his mother; Mrs. Tompkins, of North Bend; Mrs. S. P. Peirce, of the Sixes River, and Mrs. Wm. Groff, of Spokane. The body will be brought to North Bend and then here.

    Marshfield, Or., June 19 - (Special)-The passing of Jeremiah Huntley, who died at the home of his son, Hary Huntley at Ferndale, a suburb of Marshfield, takes another pioneer of southwestern Oregon. Mr. Huntley was a very large man and weighed about 300 pounds. He came to Curry county in 1870. He was born in Meigs county, Ohio, and was 75 years old at the time of his death. Five children are living in various sections of the coast: Mrs. S. P. Peirce of Sixes River; Mrs. W.W. Goff, Waverly, Wash; Mrs. Edna Chapin, Portland; Harry of Marshfield and Floyd of Gold Beach. The funeral will be held at the old home in Gold Beach tomorrow.
