    John C. Sexton, 66, of Corvallis passed away Friday at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany.
    He was born in Hendersonville, N.C., the son of Marvin and Yola Klusman Sexton.
    John was a loving husband and father, and a friend to many. He was a socializer, and enjoyed helping other people and sharing life-experience stories. Family was extremely important to John. He enjoyed mowing the field, working in his shop, and camping and crabbing at the coast with friends and family. His love and friendship will be missed by all.
    John married Maureen Pinkney on March 30, 1968, in Lake Grove.
    John was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Yola Sexton. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Maureen Sexton; daughters, April Sexton of Corvallis and Taedra Sexton of Albany; grandchildren, Katie and Megan Knotts; brothers, Marvin Sexton of Albany, William Helms of Kneeland, Calif., and Donald Sexton of Salem; sisters, Dena Sexton of Seattle and Annanise Sexton of Issaquah, Wash; stepmother, Estelle Sexton of Sweet Home; numerous nieces and nephews; and granddogger, Athena.
    A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Albany Eagles Club. Memorial contributions are suggested to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House or Benton Hospice Service, in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 S.W. Washington St., Albany, OR 97321. on 17 September 1946 Hendersonville, North Carolina.

    Funeral services for Charles Hadden Gilliam Jr., 77, of Glen Rose are at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, April 28, 2005) at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
    Burial will be in Acton Cemetery.
    It is requested memorials be to the Masonic Burn Center.
    Mr. Gilliam died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in Mansfield.
    He was born Dec. 31, 1927 in San Saba. He was a manager at C.P.S Electrical Company in Petrolia and Spearman, and later worked for Brown and Root in Glen Rose.
    He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a member the First Baptist Church in Spearman.
    Survivors are his son, Charles C. Gilliam and wife, Zsanell of Joshua; daughter, Linda Sue Benson and husband, John of Burleson; four grandchildren; a brother, Joel Wayne Gilliam and wife, Imogene of Cordele, Ga; six great-grandchildren; and nephews and a niece.
    Funeral arrangements are by Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.
