CORVALLIS - Monte Albert Reznicsek died Saturday at home in Corvallis; He was 70; He was born in Silverton to Albert and Rose Matye Reznicsek; On August 8, 1958, he married Judith Ann Stewart in Salem.A devoted husband and father, he had a true zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor; Monte enjoyed spending time with family and friends; he was loved by many; His passion was bowling and he looked forward to annual bowling trips with his wife, also a bowler; He and his wife spent many wonderful, joyous, and loving years together; They were married for nearly 50 years. Monte was a member of the U.S. Bowling Congress (USBC); He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Judith Stewart Reznicsek; son, Rick Reznicsek; daughters, Monica McConnell and Julie West; brother-in-law, Frank Treml; sisters, Shirley Treml and Irene Tolmsoff; and six grandchildren, Nick and Brandon Strebe, Jordan and Jessica West, Katarina and Trevor Reznicsek; He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alan Reznicsek; A memorial will be at 10 a.m. on Thurs., April 17 at DeMoss-Durden Funeral Home, Corvallis.
