  Duane was born May 26, 1930 in La Grande, Oregon to his parents Roy and Lyda (Boyd) Hulse. He was raised in Wallowa where he attended school. On April 30, 1955 he married Lynda Robins in La Grande. They became the parents of four children.
  
  Duane was employed at the Bates Mill in Wallowa, and worked as bus driver and custodian for the La Grande School District for many years. He enjoyed four wheeling, camping, hunting, and horses. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. He was a member of the Eagles, Mavericks, and the snowmobile club. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Wallowa.
  
  Surviving are his children, David Hulse of Summerville; Juanita Rolan of Wallowa; Cindy Hamblin and her husband Steve of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Dennis Hulse of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska; two brothers and a sister, Harold Hulse and his wife Dodie of Wallowa; Elaine Durrer and her husband Bob of Tillamook, Oregon; Gary Hulse and his wife Marilyn of Wallowa; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
  
  Duane was preceded in death by his wife Lynda; parents Roy and Lyda Hulse; sister Vera Mitchell; brother Dale Hulse and two sisters Sharon Wart and Marline Sarrett. after 3 May 2012.
