Claude Rollins, 86
Claude Rollins, 86, of Columbia, S.C., and formerly of Hendersonville, died Jan. 22, 2006.
He was born on Sept. 16, 1919, in Almond, the son of the late Robert and Lily Conley Rollins and had also resided in Hendersonville prior to moving to the Columbia area in 1990.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Sitton Rollins, who died in 1985.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was retired as a sales representative with Georgia Pacific Corp.
He is survived by his son, Thomas C. Rollins and his wife, Sally, of Columbia, S.C; three grandchildren, Conley Rollins and his wife, Meredith Kahn Rollins, of New York City; Kathryn Ruth and Meritt Swan Rollins of Columbia, S.C; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shepherd Memorial Park. The Rev. Bill Landreth will officiate.
