He was a life long resident of Rusk County, was employed by the Rusk County REA and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Henderson. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Surviving are his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osborne Howard Sr., Henderson; a son, Pfc. Charles Tony Howard, Ft. Bragg, N.C; a daughter, Miss Dottie Sue Howard, Henderson; two brothers, James Howard of Liberty and Osborn Howard Jr., Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Virgil Boyd and Mrs. W.C. Tolbert, both of Henderson.
