  Funeral services for Ira L. Withrow will be held at 1 p.m. today (Saturday) in the Chapel of Macy and Son with private committal. Mr. Withrow died Thursday in a McMinnville hospital. Ira L. Withrow, son of Samuel and Sarah Willis Withrow, was born Dec. 27, 1878 at Veneta where he was reared and schooled. He worked in logging operations as a young man, first in Gobel and since 1921 at Grand Ronde. He was employed as a logging superintendent at the Miami Corporation and was part owner in the Coastal Lumber Co., which was liquidated in 1953. He had been semi-retired since that time. On Feb. 14, 1950, he married Jessie Nash at San Francisco, Calif. He had been staying in a nursing home at Grand Ronde since November 1967. He is survived by his widow, Jessie of Portland, and three nieces. Mr. Withrow was a member of the Al Kader Shrine at Portland, The Rainier Lodge 24, AF&AM, the Royal Arch Masons, Portland Chapter 3, and a life membership in the Oregon Commandery #1 K. Templar. Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
