The funeral was held at Oak Creek, Thursday, with services conducted by Rev. E. H. Hicks, of this city. Mrs. Chenoweth was born in Hardin county, Kentucky, July 9, 1818. Her parents moved to Illinois, where she was married to Gideon Chenoweth, June 9th, 1834. To this union four boys and eight girls were born, of whom seven are living, namely: Samuel Chenoweth, of Portland; Susana Thornton, of Oak Creek; Mary Ogle, of Oklahoma; John M. Chenoweth, of Ganar, Mo; Charlotte Morgan, of Mayville, Ore. and Louisa York, of St. Johns, Oregon. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church. Besides the relatives, a host of friends mourn her loss.
