  Survivors include his wife, Melba Blakely of Willamina; a daughter, Phyllis Whelchel of Salem; two sisters, Evelyn Adams of Portland and Marjorie Kirkham of Bellevue, Was; a brother, Carl Blakely of Portland; and two grandchildren.
