    Ethel Cordelia Josephine Woolley died April 23, 2006, in Spokane, Wash. She was 88.

    Mrs. Woolley was born May 13, 1919 to Arthur and May Woolley in Drain. The family moved to a homestead east of Smith Mountain at the age of three. She completed the eighth grade at Cold Springs School, a one-room school. She graduated from Drain High School in 1938. She attended Willamette University and graduated from Oregon State College in 1945 with a degree in Home Economics and Physical Education. She taught in several areas in Oregon.

    She married Maurice Tom Walter Fine of Enterprise in Drain on June 3, 1948 and moved to the ranch on Crow Creek near Enterprise. Ethel and Tom moved to Cottage Grove in 1956 due to her husband’s health. They moved to Cove in 1969 and back to Enterprise in 1979.

    Mrs. Woolley was active in the Grange at the local, county and state level. She loved to sew and made quilts for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

    She is survived by her children and their spouses, John M. and Peggy Lee of Roseburg; David Lee and Peggy Jo of Jefferson City, Mont; Elvaree Anne of Enterprise; C. Guy and Debi of Molalla and Daniel Ray and Alma of Portland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

    A memorial service will held at Liberty Grange in Spokane, Wash. at 2 p.m. April 28.

    Beverly L. Beier was born June 1, 1918, in Portland, where she lived all her life. She graduated from Oregon State College and was a homemaker. Her husband, Carwin Woolley, died in 2005.
    Survivors include her daughter, Sally; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Maurice Walter Fine died Dec. 3, 2005. He was 90 years old.
    He was born May 31, 1915 to John Walter and Florence Edgeman Fine in the Chesnimus area of Wallowa County Oregon. He graduated from Enterprise High School. In 1942 he bought the Dorrance ranch on Crow Creek.
    On June 3, 1948 he married Ethel Fine in Drain. In 1956 Mr. Fine moved his family to Cottage Grove because of illness. He worked for Douglas County Forest Protective Association as a fire warden. He built and maintained roads in five states and Canada. In 1950 he joined the Odd Fellows Lodge and joined the Grange in 1959.In 1979, Mr. Fine moved to Enterprise where he retired. After retiring, he drove the Senior Service bus and was an active volunteer.
    He is survived by his wife, Ethel; children John and Peggy Lee Fine of Roseburg, David and Peggy Jo Fine of Jefferson City, Mont; Elvaree Fine of Enterprise; Guy and Debi of Fine of Molalla; Daniel and Alma Fine of Portland; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
    A memorial service was held Dec. 6 at Liberty Grange in Joseph.
