  • Obituary*: An obituary appeared in the Keizer - Pansy Alberta Pfau, age 101, of Keizer, Oregon passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Our mother, Pansy Merriman Johnson Pfau, was born in Alberta, Canada in 1919. At the age of 9, she moved to Mill City, Oregon with her mother, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Mom met our dad, Carl Johnson, while attending high school in Scotts Mills, Oregon, and they married when mom was just 17 years old. They were married 57 years. It was rare not to see them holding hands, sitting close, or with their arms wrapped around each other. Mom became a proud citizen of the U.S. in 1965. She attended 8th grade Constitution classes with her daughter, Cindy, to prepare for her citizen test. Mom went on to take the classes she needed and graduated high school with her youngest child, LaDonna, in 1971. At age 85, mom married Joe Pfau, a kind and sweet man. Joe brought mom a lot of joy and she lovingly took care of him until his passing in 2012. The most important things to mom were her faith in God, her family, and to be a blessing to everyone she met. Mom taught us to help others who were in need and to always forgive. We will miss our mother and are so grateful we had her for so long. WE LOVE YOU MOM!
