    OPERATION FOR APPENDICITIS PROVES FATAL
Several weeks ago, William Lott and wife, who formerly made Tiffin their home moved to Bloomville having purchased the residence belonging to the William Vatentine estate. Mr. Lott had also purchased the farm on the Benj. Franklin highway, located near Rockaway, known as the Adam Shaffer farm. His son, Russell Harold Lott, and wife also of Tiffin, moved on the farm expecting to make some extensive improvements. Last Saturday the son died in Mercy hospital, Tiffin, where he had undergone an operation for the relief of acute appendicitis a week previous. Rupture of the intestines, resulted before the operation was performed and the general infection of the body cavity which resulted, was the cause of death. The deceased was aged 31 years, 6 months and 17 days. He was born in Sandusky county, September 27, 1896. He married to Miss Maudie Chester, June 26, 1926, who survives him. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lilah Grossman and Miss Lucille B. Lott of Tiffin. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock in the Ray C. Myers funeral home in Tiffin and were conducted by Rev. Dr. Shuman of Tiffin, and Rev. Thomas of Watson. Burial took place in Pleasant Union cemetery at Old Fort.
